I specialise in TypeScript-based platforms (React, NodeJS, NestJS) with a strong focus on architecture, developer experience, testability, and long-term maintainability. I intentionally remain hands-on in production codebases, combining technical leadership with day-to-day implementation, design, and refactoring work. Over the past five years I have worked as an independent contractor for the Municipality of Amsterdam, where I led platform modernisation initiatives including monorepo adoption (Nx), CI/CD standardisation, cloud migration (Azure), and systematic technical-debt reduction. I also introduced pragmatic AI-assisted development workflows to improve reliability and delivery speed without compromising code quality or review standards.
